Few days ago we saw leaked images wich appeared to be an official design sketch of the upcoming rocket III , and now the bike has been spied undergoing testing without camouflage

These images reveal a lot about the upcoming bike and confirm that the bike is going to get massive styling changes, While the bike continues to use its iconic twin round headlights, they don’t pop out now as seen on the older model. Above these lights sits a clear and adjustable windscreen.

The engine exterior looks similar to the old inline-Three, with the three cylinders stacked vertically . The engine is expected to have been completely revamped with rumors of a displacement increase from previous 2294cc to closer to 2500cc. The new exhaust system, with three pipes flowing from the right side leading to two short, stacked silencers on the right side and a third on the left. The new engine will no doubt pass Euro 5 regulations set to kick in from 2020.

The bike remains shaft driven ,the front suspension has also changed, with beefy inverted fork. the new model also sports Brembo brakes, Other changes we can make out include twin LED headlights, bar-end mirrors and a new fuel tank shape. Also visible is a new instrument cluster which will likely be helpful for managing the new Rocket III’s electronics such as ABS, traction control and engine mapping. We also expect to see a revised riding posture, thanks to the wider handlebar and repositioned foot pegs. rumours are the new bike will make around 180hp

From the rear views, we can see a stubby tail with an integrated rear brake light. The rear turn signals are mounted to a tire-hugging combination fender and license plate holder. It doesn’t look like we’ll have to wait very long as the bike in picture looks close to being production ready.
