TVS has launched the 2019 Apache RR 310 at Rs 2.27 lakh. The biggest change on the motorcycle is the introduction of the slipper clutch, which is now a segment standard feature. The slipper clutch will most certainly improve the RR 310’s capabilities on the track and enable riders to downshift without the rear wheel locking up. The clutch lever pull is also expected to get lighter thanks to the new clutch, which in turn will reduce fatigue.. The updated version now gets minor mechanical and cosmetic changes for just Rs 3,000 more. For reference, the current model is priced at Rs 2.24 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).
For 2019, the Apache RR 310 will also gets a new ‘Phantom Black’ colour scheme. While the older model was available in black, the new one appears to have a different finish and a unique red and white stripe. The RR 310 is equipped with a liquid-cooled 313cc engine that puts out 34PS at 9,700rpm and 27.3Nm at 7,700rpm. The bike gets 300mm petal disc in the front and a 240mm petal disc in the rear for braking – along with dual channel ABS (antilock braking system).
In terms of competition, the TVS Apache RR310 goes up against the KTM RC390, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the Benelli 302R.
