Royal Enfield has launched the Trials 350 and the Trials 500 in India. Basically, these motorcycles are a scrambler like versions of the Bullet 350 and the Bullet 500.

 

The latest motorcycles from Royal Enfield the Bullet Trials Pay homage to the trial bikes made by Royal Enfield back in the 1950s, the Bullet trials will be offered with two engines. The 350 cc engine powered motorcycle gets a frame painted in red while the 500 cc  engine powered trial comes with a frame painted in green. Price of the 350 model is INR 1.62 Lakh while the, more powerful 500 model is priced at INR 2.07 Lakh. (Ex-Showroom Delhi)

The new models use the same engine and gearbox as the ones on the standard Bullet range .  the Bullet Trials 350, the 346cc motor makes 20hp and 28Nm of torque, while on the Bullet Trials 500, the 499cc motor produces 27.5hp and 41.3Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to the same 5-speed gearbox. the bikes also borrow the tank- and side-panels from the Bullets. with its off-road intentions, the front and rear fenders are shorter and narrower than on the standard Bullet. This off-road-friendly appearance is further accentuated by a taller handlebar that features a cross-brace similar to those seen on a enduro motorcycles. A distinguishing factor between the Trials 350 and Trials 500 is the colour scheme. The 350 uses a red frame, while the 500 uses a green one. Both motorcycles come with dual-discs with dual-channel ABS.

The Bullet Trials come with a 19-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel, shod with Ceat tyres. Keeping with the overall theme, the bike also features an upswept exhaust muffler. The headlight grille and crossbar padding seen on the bikes above are part of a accessory pack. At the moment, the Trials bikes have no direct competition and sit in between the standard Bullet series and the Royal Enfield Himalayan in terms of intent.
