Honda has confirmed that it will be launching the CB300R in India at a price of under Rs 2.50 lakh. The company has also commenced bookings for the retro-modern sports bike at select dealerships across India for the token amount of Rs. 5000 . Honda has said that the motorcycle will be brought to India via the CKD route. The launch is expected to happen before the end of March or sooner.

The CB300R features Honda’s ‘neo-sports café’ styling .the 300R features aggressive lines along with retro elements like the round LED headlight. The overall design is minimalistic, especially towards the rear. The instrument cluster on the CB is a fully digital unit.

Powering the bike is a 286cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-valve, DOHC motor that is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. that churns out 31bhp of power and 27.5Nm of torque, Add to this the impressive 143kg kerb weight and a fuel tank capacity of 10litres.

The motorcycle is based on a tubular steel trellis frame and rides on 17-inch wheels. suspension Duties are handled by 41mm USD forks on the front and 7-step adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking is taken care by disc brakes on both the ends and assisted by (dual-channel) ABS for better safety.
